The Urban Al provides professional development opportunities for scholars and professionals working in the emerging field of Urban Artificial Intelligence. The Emerging Leaders Program seeks to provide a theoretical basis, practical experience, and mentorship for young people who wish to pursue work or research in urban- oriented artificial intelligence fields. Additionally, we host workshops to train municipalities and other urban stakeholders on how to think about and evaluate the utility and implementation of artificial intelligence in their operations. Through these programs, we aim to share the expertise and knowledge that we continue to accumulate as an institution.
WORKSHOPS
Successful urban artificial intelligence projects require an understanding of the many complex elements that go into them: the technical components of an urban Al system, the interactions between AI technologies and the built environment, considerations for ethical and human-centered AI implementation, project scoping, and considering the multiplicity of stakeholders operating in the urban environment. Building off of our Urban Al guide and our other works, we developed a workshop curriculum that can be customized to fit the specific educational needs of your municipality or organization.
EMERGING LEADERS
Our Emerging Leaders Program is designed to educate and support young scholars and professionals working in the emerging field of Urban Artificial Intelligence. This program also aims to bring together a multidisciplinary group of participants and foster collaborations between different fields to propose a new approach to urban technologies.
