Charles-Edouard Delpierre
As Managing Director of the Urban Business Line, driven by the motto “Designing better cities and territories, designing a zero carbon future”, Charles-Edouard focuses on defining the strategy, coordinating commercial development, building partnerships, empowerment of teams and promotion of talent with projects around the world. In this capacity, he is in charge of coordinating global urban activities, covering the following segments: urban design and development, mobility and transport, complex buildings and structures as well as environment and climate change.
its particular interests lie at the intersection of cities and urban ecosystems, including ecological transformation (design, finance, build, operate, maintain sustainable and better cities); management of underground infrastructure, including utility tunnels; and convergence between existing and emerging physical infrastructures (telecoms, digital).
In addition to his role at Tractebel, Charles-Edouard is a lecturer on utility tunnels and sustainable cities at the ITACET Foundation (Foundation for Education and Continuous Training on Tunnels and Underground Space) as well as a member of the ISOCARP Scientific Committee (International Society of Urban Planners and Regional Planners).
