Ernest Kwan

Ernest Kwan is a Canadian sustainability and data-driven leader. He is currently the Head of the Data and Analytics Branch at the City of Winnipeg Water and Waste Department. He has a deep, insatiable passion to synthesize and deliver valuable and sustainable data and technology solutions for highly integrated, complex business and citizen problems.

He holds a Master of Business Administration with Honors in Sustainability, a Bachelor of Commerce with Honors in Finance and Management Information Systems, and a Bachelor of Science Generalist from the University of Manitoba. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Prosci Change Practitioner. He also holds an Amateur Radio Operator license as a hobby to stay connected with the STEM community.

His current professional interests are in leveraging the power of Cloud, AI/ML, IoT, Edge Computing and Visual Storytelling to deliver robust solutions for water, wastewater and solid waste management.
